Police were told that the alleged victim in the case went to the front counter of the motel and stated that Richard Johnson, 56, “had been beating her all night and stabbed her in the stomach.” Police were told the woman had black eyes and a gash on the top of her head.

“He will kills us both if he comes down,” the woman was quoted as telling the desk clerk.

Johnson admitted to being a sex offender and said he had registered in Mayes County but not in Rogers County yet, though he has resided in Rogers County for about three weeks, officers reported.

Johnson was arrested on allegations of aggravated assault and battery, failure to register as a sex offender, and kidnapping. He was booked into the Rogers County Jail.
