A pursuit through a residential neighborhood ended with two people arrested at gunpoint.

Claremore Police Department records show Sara Wass, 34, and Jeremy Riggs, 42, were arrested at gunpoint in the area of Florence and 12th Street.

Officer Kendal Bradshaw reports, "I attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed through a neighborhood. I initiated my emergency lights at 11th and Muskogee Ave. where Riggs failed to stop at a stop sign, and the vehicle continued."

Bradshaw added that he turned on his lights and sirens and that, after a pursuit, the vehicle ultimately pulled into a private driveway on 12th Street.

Officer Bradshaw spoke with the driver, Riggs, who reportedly said he knew he should have stopped, but he didn't have a valid driver's license and didn't want his car impounded.

Officers noted "an odor of alcohol" on Wass.

Both were arrested on outstanding warrants. Additionally, Wass is facing a possible charge of public intoxication while Riggs was booked into Rogers County Jail for eluding a police officer and multiple traffic infractions.
