An 85-year old Inola man was secured by law enforcement following allegations that he made threats to kill two individuals.
Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said, "We got a call from the daughter of an 85-year old Inola man. She said he has dementia and is threatening to kill her and her daughter, his granddaughter."
Walton said law enforcement responded to the scene.
"With the help of the Cherokee Nation Marshal Service Tactical Team we made contact with the man," Walton said, adding that the man exited the residence and came onto the porch. "The situation was peacefully resolved."
Walton said he is not sure yet what the next step is.
"He's 85. He has dementia. He's on hospice," Walton said. "This wasn't a great situation….But we're glad no one was harmed."
