A Rogers County judge handed down a 35 year prison sentence in a first degree rape case this week.
Kua Pao Lor, 41, in addition to the 35 year sentence, was ordered to register as a sex offender.
Lor is charged with the first degree rape of a 10-year old female, which reportedly took place in 2016.
“Justice was certainly served in this case. The Judge clearly recognized the overwhelming evidence and the heinousness of this crime," said Rogers County District Attorney Matt Ballard.
During sentencing Judge Kassie McCoy expressed her sorrow at what the victim had endured and noted rape can cause both physical damage and a lifetime of psychological trauma.
Lor entered a guilty plea in April, asking the Judge to sentence him, just as his jury trial was getting underway.
