Two teams from the Sequoyah Middle School Cherokee Competition Program recently traveled to Tahlequah to face off against other schools in the 2019 Fall Cherokee Challenge Bowl. Each team was assigned to a separate bracket and faced 4-6 opponents. In the end, both teams came out on top, taking first place. Students enrolled in the Cherokee Cultural Class, spend two hours each week learning about the culture, history, and language of the Cherokee Nation.
