Updated to reflect criminal charges filed in Rogers County District Court.
Roughly 4.5 pounds of marijuana and $11,745 in cash were seized in a traffic stop by Rogers County Sheriff’s Office.
“This is a unique one. This guy claims to be, or kind of is, a fairly well known rapper,” said Sheriff Scott Walton.
He said deputies stopped a vehicle for multiple traffic violations on May 5. The vehicle was driven by J Diggs, who had a passenger, Deandrea Russell. The traffic stop was made on I-44 in Catoosa.
“They were both really nervous and gave different stories about where they’ve been and where they are going. Deputy Ron Walker smelled the odor of raw or fresh weed in the vehicle,” Walton said.
He said ultimately the two were arrested and the marijuana and rolls of cash were seized.
“If you look him up, you’ll find some Youtube videos but you also find that the thing he’s best at is getting arrested,” Walton said. "There’s an attempted murder in Hawaii, some other drug deals.”
Both were booked into Rogers County Jail on drug possession charges. Bond was set at $11,000 each.
Updated: Criminal charges have been filed in Rogers County District Court against Diggs and Russel.
