Claremore First United Methodist Church’s annual school supply drive is in full swing.
Each year the church gives away more than $50,000 in school supplies to Rogers County students.
Parents of public school children in the county are invited to come to the church and fill out the registration form, Monday-Friday, through August 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The child’s name, grade, school and teacher are required, but there is no requirement to prove financial need.
Volunteers work non-stop each day bagging the appropriate supplies for each child and making sure they are sent off to the right family.
In past years the church has supplied more than 3,000 Rogers County children, approximately 22 percent of all elementary aged children in the county.
