A task order for design work on the Frederick Road improvement project was approved this week.
Claremore City Council approved a work order with a $158,271 price tag.
"They're going to look at the traffic patterns in that entire area. If there's any additional improvements that we need to look at or budget for down the road we'll know about those. I'm sure there's going to be some things, as you're all aware, there's some dysfunctional traffic patterns around Lowe's and that area. That's something I'm sure they're going to look at," said City Engineer Garrett Ball. "This will also include Geotechnical road for the portion of Frederick Road we know we're going to approve. This will also get us up to 50 and design plans which will get us up to the point of right of way acquisition."
He said they could have those 50 percent plans by spring and some results of the traffic study within 60 days.
