Rogers County's commissioners are talkin' trash.

This week commissioners Steve Hendrix, Dan DeLozier and Ron Burrows are spreading the word on the upcoming county-wide Hazardous Waste and Trash Off event.

This annual event, they said, is a collaboration between the city of Claremore and Rogers County commissioners—with added support this year from the Cherokee Nation.

The Hazardous Waste Event is Saturday, April 6, from 8 a.m. until noon but at an all new location.

This year the hazardous waste disposal site is across from AXH, on the north side of Lowry Road, in the Claremore Industrial Park.

"From Highway 66, turn west onto Lowry Road, then turn north onto John Carle Blvd. for the disposal event entrance and continue north to the disposal site," they explained. "Old medicine drop off- Please bring all unneeded and unused medications for disposal. You can also Dispose of needles and syringes. Place needles in plastic container such as bleach or laundry container."

The Rogers County Trash Off event is Thursday, April 4, through Saturday, April 6.
