West Bend Winterland activities have been scaled back due to weather concerts. Skating ans hot cocoa will be available from 5-10 p.m., but inflatables have ben cancelled. Visit www.westbendwinterland.com for more information.

The 2018 Claremore Christmas Parade is scheduled for Friday, December 7, beginning at 7 p.m. The parade will begin at First Baptist Church and head west on Will Rogers Boulevard to West Bend Winterland at the Claremore Expo Center. This year’s parade theme is “An Oklahoma! Christmas”

Saturday, December 8

Benefit auction to cover the funeral expenses of baby J. J. Daughtry will be held Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. at Sequoyah Full Gospel Church (15101 E. 450 Rd., Claremore). Bring dessert or item to be auctioned.

West Bend Winterland is canceled due to weather.

The Rogers County Democratic Party’s yearly Christmas Party will take place at Pizza Hut at 6 p.m. The pizza will be paid for, so the party is asking attendees to bring a toy to donate to Toy’s for Tots.

The Holiday Trolley is cancelled due to weather.

Inola will host their second annual Christmas Shopping Bazaar with over 45 local vendors selling perfect Christmas gifts. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 260 Broadway Boutique.

Saturday Dec. 8 and 15, Santa Claus will be in the Will Rogers Memorial Museum Heritage Gallery for photo sessions (bring your own camera). Admission is free for the photo sessions.

Tuesday, December 11

Join the Will Rogers Library for creativity, calm and conversation with the Adult Coloring Club! We'll provide coloring sheets and pencils, or you may bring your own. Come to the library and color yourself calm at 11 a.m.! Adults 18+ only please.

Wednesday, December 12

Join the Will Rogers Library for story time. Baby story time, for children 0-3 and parents, features rhymes and songs from 9:30-10 a.m. Story time for ages 3-5 runs from 10-10:30 a.m.

The Oologah Christmas Parade will be Saturday, Dec. 15. Festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with pop up shops along Cooweescoowee Parkway leading into Oologah. The boy scouts will be handing out hot chocolate. The parade begins at 5:30.

Cash in your Santa Cash and win one of five large cash prizes at the Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs, starting at 11 a.m. Participants must be present at the Will Rogers Downs on Saturday, December 15th to win the $10,000, $2,500, $1,000 and $500 prizes. Physical ticket must be presented for authentication. Additional tickets will be drawn for the final $1,000 online prize that will be posted online at www.claremore.org and the Claremore Daily Progress following the live drawing.

Cedar Point Church is hosting another monthly superKIDS event. Families with children and/or siblings who have disabilities and are focused on celebrating these kids are invited. December’s event will be all about Christmas with a special appearance by Santa. Free pictures with Santa, food, games, dancing and prizes. Weather permitting sleigh rides and trained rescue dog to play with will also be available. 4-6 p.m. at 1660 N. Lynn Riggs Blvd. Immediately after superKIDS, Cedar Point Church will also be hosting it’s annual Christmas Spectacular for all families to attend. With live music, karaoke, and a cookie contest.

The Claremore Elk’s Lodge would like to invite you to the Earl Clark Senior Luncheon at the Elks Lodge, 1820 Summit Dr., Claremore, OK 74017. The free lunch for senior citizens begins at 11:30 a.m.

Tuesday, December 18

Learn the art of beekeeping with the Green Country Beekeepers at Will Rogers Library from 6-7:30 p.m. Meetings are the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Experienced beekeepers and curious beginners welcome.

Enjoy a free night of safe, sober, family fun at Light of Hope’s Night of Hope, a New Year’s Eve celebration. Light of hope is bringing the community together with games, music, food, fun, fellowship and prices. Activities include bingo, bunco, minute to win it, trivia, corn hole, hula hoop, jenga, yard yahtzee and dominoes. The celevration runs from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Claremore Conference Center, 1400 W. Country Club Road. For more information check out www.lightofhopeinc.org.
