Monday, January 13

  • TopsOK451 meets every Monday at the Claremore Community Center at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. For more information contact Patricia Armbrister at 918-510-9010.
  • Spades competition at the Claremore Senior Center, 9 a.m.
  • Progressive bridge at the Claremore Senior Center, 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Baseball clinic with CHS Coach Jim Sherl, 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Claremore Community Center. All participants must wear rubber sole shoes (no cleats). Please bring your own glove. You may also bring your bat if you would like. Please have your equipment marked so you may identify it at the end of the session. Sign up in advance by contacting Ron Paris at rparis@claremorecity.com.

Tuesday, January 14

  • Join the Will Rogers Library for creativity, calm and conversation with the Adult Coloring Club! We'll provide coloring sheets and pencils, or you may bring your own. Come to the library and color yourself calm at 11 a.m. Adults 18+ only please.
  • Learn to play Cardo at the Claremore Senior Center in the bridge room, 1 to 3 p.m.

Wednesday, January 15

  • Join the Will Rogers Library for story time. Baby story time, for children 0-3 and parents, features rhymes and songs from 9:30-10 a.m. Story time for ages 3-5 runs from 10-10:30 a.m.
  • TOPS 493 meets every Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the Rogers County Building near the Expo Center to take of pounds easily. For more information, call Ardith Louwerens at 918-341-6824.
  • The Claremore Blind and Visually Imparied Support Group meets on the third Wednesday of each month at the Community Center at 2301 N. Sioux from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Each meeting includes a guest speaker and light lunch. Blind and visually impaired people of all ages are welcome. This month the lunch will be pizza and salad, and the guest speaker will be Jenny Allen from the Senior Companion Program. For more information about the Claremore Support Group for the Blind or Visually impared or for Services for the Blind programs, contact Julie Bailey at 918-551-4911 or LaVinda Bolton at 918-576-4752. Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, a division of the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services, sponsors the meeting.

Saturday, January 18

  • It’s not just Demolition Derby, it’s the Mad Dog Demolition Derby! Come see the metal crushing car-smashing Hero’s of the Mad Dog Derby Tour doing battle. It’s a night of Total Destruction that you will race to attend at the Claremore Expo Center Indoor Arena, 7-11 p.m. Advance tickets available at Motorheadevents.com Adults $18 Kids 12 and Under $12.
