Tuesday, October 1

  • Join the Will Rogers Square Dance Club on the first and third Tuesday of every month, 7:30 p.m. at the Claremore American Legion, for square and line dancing fun. For more information call Ellen and Tom Brewer at 918-630-0797 or Don and Dell Williams at 918-520-7890.
  • Ro.Co. Retired Educators and Support are meeting Tues. Oct. 1 at 10:30 a.m. at Claremore Pizza Hut. Legislators will have program. There will be a drawing for 50/50 and a door prize.
  • Enjoy a picnic in the Teaching Garden at Will Rogers Park every weekday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weather permitting.
  • Join the Will Rogers Library for creativity, calm and conversation with the Adult Coloring Club! We'll provide coloring sheets and pencils, or you may bring your own. Come to the library and color yourself calm at 11 a.m. Adults 18+ only please.
  • Junior Lego Club for ages 5-9 at the Will Rogers Public Library, 4 - 4:45 p.m.

Wednesday, October 2

  • Join the Will Rogers Library for story time. Baby story time, for children 0-3 and parents, features rhymes and songs from 9:30-10 a.m. Story time for ages 3-5 runs from 10-10:30 a.m.
  • National Walk to School Day is Wednesday, October 2nd. each school will meet at 7am in the parking lots listed below, depart by 7:10am, and arrive around 7:20 – 7:30am in plenty of time for students to have breakfast. Claremont - bus parking lot for First Baptist Church on the north side of Will Rogers Blvd at Florence.   • Mark your calendars for the 2019 Leading Ladies Gala, coming October 2 to the Claremore Conference Center, 1400 W. Country Club Rd. Bring your best girlfriends and join us for an evening of celebrating women in business and our community! Leading Ladies Gala is new and improved for 2019 and is focused on building stronger networking and to encourage personal and professional growth. This year is particularly special as we aim to highlight ovarian cancer. Tickets are now on sale for $25 per person or $500 for a table of eight (8). Tickets can be purchased at the Chamber office located at 419 W. Will Rogers Blvd.

Thursday, October 3

  • Free movie night at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church on west Highway 20, Thursday, Oct. 3 at 6 p.m. The movie is “Miracles from Heaven,” with free drinks and popcorn provided.

  • Chocolate, Wine and More Affair, sponsored by the United Way at Claremore Elks Lodge, 6:30-8:30 p.m. $15 entry includes six tastes. Cash bar available. 1820 Summit Drive, Claremore.

  • Homecoming Parade through downtown Claremore begins at 3:15 p.m.

Saturday, October 5

  • Arts and Crafts Fair hosted by Verdigris United Methodist Church. Get your Christmas shopping done early with locally made 3D engraving, woodworking, baked goods, jewelry and much more, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., 8936 E 530 Rd. West of QT, across the tracks.
