Four years ago, the Rogers County Courthouse was in a state of chaos. In particular there was great unhappiness at the County Commissioner level. It was a difficult time for Rogers County. But elections change everything. It is what our great country is based on. Citizens can change unhealthy government at the ballot box.
And that is exactly what happened. The citizens of Rogers County replaced the 2 County Commissioners who were at the heart of the difficulty.
One of those who was elected was Ron Burrows, Commissioner in District 3, and he is up for re-election. The purpose of this letter is to wholeheartedly endorse Ron Burrows for County Commissioner in Rogers County District 3.
Traits that define Commissioner Burrows are the honesty, accountability, and transparency now exhibited in the Commissioner’s district. Ron Burrows was directly involved and instrumental in the recruitment & procurement of the Sofidel Plant coming to Rogers Co. which will realize $300 million in private investment and 300 new jobs with the likelihood of doubling both in 3 to 5 years. His continued commitment to quality infrastructure, roads & bridges has provided great benefit, not only for District 3, but for all of Rogers County.
As Chair of the Claremore Industrial Economic Development Authority, I can testify that Ron Burrows’ ability to work with multiple agencies, in order to serve the citizens of Rogers County and improve the lives of the citizens of Rogers County, is truly extraordinary. His understanding and willingness to address tough issues such as workforce and economic development has made a significance difference in the four years that he has served as Commissioner in Rogers County District 3.
Ron Burrows has restored integrity and trust in County Government and I strongly endorse him in the upcoming election.
