On March 5, voters will have the opportunity to make a dramatic impact for students attending Claremore Public Schools. After months of input and deliberation, the decision to dramatically enhance educational opportunities for Claremore Public School students finally comes to a vote.
Claremore School officials have meticulously structured a bond issue that meets many needs of students. There are improvements to facilities, transportation, technology, and several other areas. I attended most of the listening sessions and was pleased that citizens had ample input in addition to the input from the professionals who work at Claremore Public Schools.
As chair of the Claremore Industrial Economic Development Authority, I strongly believe that effective and modern schools have a huge impact on Economic Development. As a grandparent of 5 children currently attending Claremore Public Schools, I want the best for every student. As former Superintendent of Claremore Public Schools, I understand the needs of the school district and strongly believe this bond issue meets those needs.
This bond issues provides critical opportunities for all students and I strongly urge a YES vote on March 5.
