I just wanted to say that there are still great people in the city of Claremore.

We have recently learned that my dad (a lifetime Claremore resident) is at the end of his life due to terminal cancer.

In order to spend more time with him, I wanted to take him on one last fishing trip which has always been our favorite thing to do together. With him being confined to a wheelchair, our options on where to fish are very limited. I contacted the Claremore Lake Office and asked if there was any way I could rent the heated dock for a day just to get one last trip in. They then advised me that the dock was currently closed to the public due to Covid-19, but due to they circumstances, they are going out of their way to make arrangements for the dock to be available to me and my dad for one day, at no charge. I would have paid any amount of money to make this happen, but due to the kindness of others, I do not have to do so. There is nothing I can do to repay the kindness that has been extended to me and my family for the memory that we are about to create. I can honestly say I am very proud to have been born and raised in this great community.
