There's a lot going on in the world right now. And in the chaos that is 2020, it's easy to forget to prioritize the people and causes that matter.

In the midst of a pandemic, Halloween, an impending election, Veteran's Day then the hustle of the holiday season it's even more important to take a look around and find causes to serve, people to help.

For that reason, the Progress is hosting a food and treat drive for Blue Star Mothers of Claremore to benefit their monthly care packages for soldiers.

Whether it's bags of Halloween candy, or other snacks or treats, all will be appreciated.

Now through Nov. 11, donations can be dropped off at the Claremore Progress office at 315 W. Will Rogers Blvd.

The treats will be taken to Blue Star Mothers of Claremore to include in the December care packages.

With a little effort, we can help make this season a little sweeter for our soldiers.

More information about the Blue Star Mothers of Claremore can be found on their website: www.bluestarmothersok20.org
