On Wednesday, more than 100 business and community leaders gathered in Oklahoma City for the Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce's annual Day at the Capitol event. Individuals representing more than 25 organizations, including local government, philanthropies, manufacturing, small business and economic development, met with elected officials to discuss pressing issues and advocate on behalf of the region's top legislative priorities.

Day at the Capitol was a great display of the collaboration across Claremore, and legislators took note of the synergy surrounding our community. It was a true honor and privilege for our congregation to host the Speaker of the House, Senate Pro-Tempore, Lieutenant Governor, and Governor Kevin Stitt and showcase the unique businesses, organizations and individuals who call Claremore home. This included Claremore's very own Hammett House, which served lunch to more than 250 Capitol guests.

Attendees also had an opportunity to listen to legislative updates from our elected officials, where each shared their excitement about the progress happening in Claremore. In addition, Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell and Governor Stitt shared their congratulations on our community's many exciting economic development announcements and upcoming tourism opportunities.

I want to thank Senator Marty Quinn, Representative Mark Lepak, Senator Julie Daniels, and Representative Tom Gann and their staff members for assisting during our Capitol visit. Their support ensured a smooth and successful event. A very special thank you to Debbie Gann and Donna Garlick for their help in providing Claremore with a world-class Capitol visit and experience each year.

Last but certainly not least, I would like to congratulate and recognize Barby and Ashley with the Claremore Chamber and Haley with the Claremore Collective for their hard work, planning and execution of this important advocacy trip. The opportunity to interact face-to-face with state leaders and share our community's priorities is vital to ensuring Claremore's long-term economic success and positioning us for future growth. The Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce is a crucial asset to our business community. I strongly encourage any business that is not currently a member to reach out and learn how a chamber membership will benefit your investment in Claremore.

Enjoy the warmer temperatures this weekend, Claremore! If you haven't, I encourage you to visit one of our community's many outdoor recreation opportunities, such as the trails at Claremore Lake or RSU Nature Reserve.

All my best,
