BASKETBALL: Sequoyah heads to Regent Prep Invitational

After opening 2021 with a sweep of Miami on Tuesday, the Sequoyah basketball teams return to action Thursday for the Regent Prep Invitational.

The Eagles occupy the 3-seeds in both brackets, which consist of eight teams each.

The girls earned their first win of the season Tuesday with a 49-48 victory over Miami in overtime while the boys improved to 4-1, topping the Wardogs 37-20.

Both teams open the tournament against Barnsdall.
