The Rogers State Men's Golf team and coach Steve Brown have announced the signing of Bradley Wright for the 2020-21 signee class.

Wright joins the Hillcats from Meridian Community College in Mississippi. At Meridian, Wright helped lead the Eagles to a No. 7 ranking in the final GolfStat poll of the season and a No. 8 ranking in the last NJCAA poll. He was ranked No. 10 individually by GolfStat as a sophomore.

"Bradley Wright is a great addition to this team, and I am very excited for the coming season and watching him play for the Hillcats," Brown said. "His talent in the game is obvious, as he is in the top 10 nationally in NJCAA and had some great tournaments for Meridian this abbreviated past season."

In his final tournament of the season, Wright, who is originally from Southampton, England, finished tied for medalist honors at the William Carey Collegiate Classic. He also recorded a second-place finish in his only other tournament in the spring, finishing as runner-up at the Tyler Junior College Invitational among three top-20 teams.

During his sophomore season, Wright had an adjusted scoring average of 73.78 and was 33-2 as an individual in head-to-head competition against golfers ranked in the top 100 by Golfstat.

Wright finished up his junior college career, which also included a season at Murray State in Oklahoma in 2018-19, as one of the top junior college golfers in the nation to watch, according to a release from Golfstat in mid-March.

After his freshman season at Murray State, Wright was ranked as the No. 27 golfer in the NJCAA with an average score of 73.19.

"What impressed me most, though, was how his current and former coaches all spoke to the strength of Bradley's character," Brown said. "Good programs are comprised of good people, and that's what we're getting with Bradley."

Prior to coming to the United States, Wright played golf in England and attended Wildern School and Itchen College. His career low round is a 63 (-8). He finished 10th overall in the British Schools National Finals and also had three junior victories prior to his collegiate career.

Wright is one of six commits for the Hillcat golf team for the 2020-21 signee class.
