Verdigris running back Caden Parnell (10) pushes his way past a Plainview defender during the Class 3A quarterfinals.

Area football teams in Class 5A and Class 3A found out where and when they’ll be playing in the semifinals this week.

The Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association released those details Saturday, and all games will be played at 7 p.m. at neutral locations.

Verdigris and Holland Hall, a rematch of a Week 9 District 3A-4 contest, will meet at Owasso. The Cardinals won the first meeting 12-7 on Oct. 29, ending the Dutch’s 20-game winning streak.

The other 3A semifinal between Lincoln Christian and Heritage Hall, the only undefeated teams remaining in the class, will collide at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee. It will be the fourth-consecutive year these teams meet in the semifinals.

In Class 5A, Collinsville looks to extend its undefeated season and become the first team in history to hand five-time defending state champions Carl Albert a semifinal loss. In what will be the teams’ third semifinals meeting in four years, the Cardinals will take on the Titans at Western Heights in Oklahoma City.

Elsewhere in the area, Rejoice Christian hosts Washington in the Class 2A quarterfinals. This will be the third-consecutive home game for the Eagles. Neutral-site games begin next week in that class.
