Claremore soccer split a doubleheader with out-of-state foe Bentonville West at Rogers State University's Soldier Field on Tuesday night.

The Lady Zebras lost 2-0, surrendering goals at about the 11-minute mark in the first half and the six-minute mark in the second half.

The Zebra boys fell behind early after giving up a goal with 26 minutes remaining in the first half, but Dylan Kedzior answered 16 minutes later to tie it at 1, where the score would stay for the remainder of regulation.

Claremore won on penalty kicks, making three to the Wolverines’ one.

Tyler Douthitt, Alex Wiseman and Talon Woody each made penalties while goalkeeper Blake Classen made three-straight saves to secure the win after surrendering a goal on the first kick.

Both Zebra teams are now 2-2 on the season and travel to Piedmont on Friday.
