Claremore junior Kylee Ohman (3) shoots a floater during the second half Tuesday night at Pryor.

Although Glenpool made it interesting at times, the result was never in doubt for Claremore girls basketball.

Kylee Ohman made sure of that.

The 5-foot-5 junior opened the fourth quarter with a three-point play, which served as the catalyst for a 12-5 run that carried the Lady Zebras to their third win of the season in a 36-28 decision Friday night at home. Ohman tallied nine of her 12 points in the second half, finishing as the game’s lone double-digit scorer.

Ella Claborn scored six of her nine points during that same spurt.

Alongside Grace Bump and Terran Schornick, Ohman was responsible for one of a trio of 3-pointers in the first quarter that helped Claremore gain an advantage it never relinquished. The momentum from those shots carried over to the defense, which held the Lady Warriors to two points in the second quarter and eight points overall in the first half.

Bump finished with seven points while Schornick added five.

Kya Wilson gave Glenpool new life in the fourth when she answered Ohman’s three-point play with a 3-pointer, making it a five-point game at 25-20, but it was short-lived thanks to the ensuing Lady Zebras run. That was Wilson’s only basket of the game.

Skylar Cummings led the Lady Warriors with eight points.
