Inside the lane, Claremore senior post Megan Martin can’t be stopped.

Martin scored a game-high 33 points and Miranda Taylor added 27 to lead the Lady Zebras to 76-39 win over Collinsville Friday night in their home opener.

Claremore (1-1) came out electrified and built a 21-4 first quarter, relying heavily on Martin’s towering presence in the paint.

After Claremore extended its lead to 31-7 in the second quarter, Collinsville closed out the first half on 12-5 run to go into the locker room down 36-19.

In the second half, it was all Claremore as the Lady Zebras rolled, outscoring Collinsville, 40-20.

Taylor’s three-pointer with 1:07 left in the third quarter put the Lady Zebras ahead 50-31.

Another trey by Taylor in the fourth quarter extended Claremore’s lead to 70-37. Miranda Matthews tallied the Lady Zebras final basket with 10 seconds left in the game.

Ashlyn Glenn also had nine points for the Lady Zebras.
