The MIAA recently announced its schedule for the 2021 baseball season. All 2020-2021 schedules were approved by the Association's CEO Council on Monday, June 15, and the Institutional Representative Council (IRC) on Tuesday, June 9.
In response to the NCAA requirements in maximum and minimum allowable contests for the 2021 baseball season, the MIAA Scheduling Subcommittee modified the existing schedules for each sport. The MIAA Scheduling Subcommittee is comprised of an athletic administrator at each member institution.
This year's baseball schedule is comprised of 11-weekend conference series in a doubleheader and single-game format. Teams must get the series in over the three-day weekend with either a Friday-Saturday or Saturday-Sunday series.
The Hillcats will open up the conference schedule with a pair of home series at the Diamond Sports Complex, including Central Missouri beginning Feb. 26 and Missouri Western beginning March 5.
Rogers State will spend the rest of March on the road with trips to Northwest Missouri, Fort Hays State and Emporia State
The first two weekends in April will be back in Claremore, hosting Pitt State beginning April 2 and Northeastern State beginning April 9.
After trips to Washburn and Newman, the Hillcats will close out the home schedule against Central Oklahoma on the April 30-May 2 weekend.
Rogers State will close out the regular season the following weekend at Missouri Southern.
The MIAA Tournament is slated for the next weekend in Joplin, Mo.
Times for all MIAA games and Rogers State's nonconference schedule will be announced at a later date.
