Oklahoma's 2019 Meet the Sooners Day is tabbed for the first weekend of August.

OU football announced it will hold its annual autograph session for children ages 14 and younger on Friday, Aug. 2.

The free event at Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium will give kids the chance to meet and get autographs from the Sooners' 2019 football team from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

OU Kids Club members, who are registered before noon on July 26, can check in at the event at noon and enter the autograph area early at 1 p.m.

The general public will not be allowed inside the area until 1:30 p.m. but can wait in line for entry at Gate 4.

Each child can be accompanied by no more than one adult, according to a press release. Adults at the event are not allowed, however, to request autographs from players or coaches.

Each child is permitted to bring a maximum of one item to be autographed by OU football players and coaches.

The event will also feature OU's Sooner Schooner and mascots, plus Kona Ice will have a stand at the event from noon to 3 p.m.

OU says its Sooner Shop will also be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. the day of the event.

The Asp Avenue Parking Facility, which is connected to the stadium, will not be open for parking. Attendees can park at the Jenkins Avenue Parking Facility and all campus surface lots east of the stadium.
