Oologah-Talala Public Schools didn’t have to wait long to determine the immediate future of summer athletic activities.
The athletic department announced on Twitter at 3:28 p.m. Monday that the test results for the student-athlete whose parent tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus last week came back negative.
Because of this, all Summer Pride workouts, cheer tryouts, youth activities and open gyms can resume beginning Tuesday morning.
The announcement came less than 24 hours after the school district and athletic department said the test results had yet to be revealed.
OTPS temporarily canceled summer activities Wednesday night after learning of the coronavirus infiltration.
