Rogers State men's basketball and coach Justin Barkley have announced the addition of Devin Pullum to the 2020-21 signee class.
Pullum will join the Hillcats as a senior transfer, coming to College Hill after three seasons at Eastern New Mexico.
A 6-foot-2 guard, Pullum is a two-time All-LoneStar Conference selection, averaging double figures for his career with 12.1 points per game with 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 78 games and 28 starts.
As a sophomore, Pullum came off the bench in 24 of 27 games, averaging 12.7 points on his way to second-team All-LSC honors. Last season, he started 25 of 26 games, averaging 13.6 points in another All-LSC season.
"Adding a player of Devin's qualities was a big piece to our recruiting needs this spring," Barkley said. "He has spent the last three years in a high level NCAA Division 2 conference, so he will be battle tested when it comes to the MIAA."
During the 2018-19 season, Pullum set the Eastern New Mexico school record with 39 points against Texas A&M-Commerce, one of three 20-point performances on the year. He also recorded his first career double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds against West Texas A&M.
This past season, he scored a season-high 26 points against Texas–Tyler and also drained six 3-pointers against Texas–Permian Basin.
"Coach Wayman had the opportunity to recruit him and coach him his freshman season at Eastern New Mexico," Barkley said. "That's why this made a lot of sense for us. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition for Devin. I can't wait to get to work this fall with this team."
During his freshman season, Pullum was third on the team in scoring, averaging 9.8 points per game. He had three 20-plus point performances and finished with a season-high 24 points against Tarleton State.
The Little Elm, Texas, native had an outstanding prep career, leading Little Elm High School to a district championship as a senior, earning First Team All-State honors along the way.
Pullum earned two First Team All-Region selections in his junior and senior seasons. He also was selected for and participated in the prestigious Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) All-Star Game.
Pullum is the sixth signee and third transfer for the Hillcats heading into the 2020-21 season.
