The University of Arkansas football team held a scrimmage at the end of its practice inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium Friday afternoon.

Razorback head coach Bobby Petrino commented after the scrimmage that he was pleased with the performance of the defense throughout the week and during the scrimmage.

"We've finished our first week in pads," Coach Petrino said. "Defensively, I thought we played better today than we had the previous two practices. I thought they flew around and tackled well at times."

Coach Petrino mentioned that the value of scrimmaging is always the ability to learn and get better on both sides of the ball.

"There were a lot of positive things out there, but we've got to watch the video and get better," Coach Petrino said. "That's the biggest thing is do a great job of learning from this video and improve next Tuesday when we practice."

Arkansas continues practice Tuesday, April 3. Practices on April 6 and April 13 will be open to the public leading up to the Red-White Spring Game, sponsored by Cox Advanced TV, on April 21 at 2 p.m. If practice is held inside Walker Pavilion, it will not be open to the public due to space constraints. The practice schedule is subject to change.
