AUSTIN, Texas – Rogers State's Hailey Gillispie was named to the 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division II Women's Track & Field/Cross Country team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Gillispie was a second team selection for her first-ever All-America honor.

Gillispie, a senior from Henryetta, Oklahoma, earned Google Cloud Academic All-America Second Team honors for the first time in her four-year career in the navy and red. In her senior season, Gillispie was named all-conference in cross country and track & field. During the fall in cross country, she took 10th at the Heartland Conference Women's Cross Country Championships to pick up All-Heartland Conference First Team honors. She was the top runner for the RSU women's cross country team all season in her senior season. In her track & field season, Gillispie finished third in the 800 meters at the Great American Conference Championships to take All-GAC in the race. She set the school record in the 800 meters numerous times throughout the season and lowered the mark to 2:15.60 in her final race of her career at the Oxy Invitational on May 12 in Los Angeles.

Gillispie completed her undergraduate degree in three years while at RSU and started a master of business administration (MBA) during her senior season of athletics for both the cross country and track & field programs. She currently carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average in the MBA program. Gillispie was a Google Cloud All-District First Team selection during her senior season.

The Division II and III Google Cloud Academic All-America program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspect for the 2017-18 DII and DIII Academic All-America teams.
