Claremore junior outfielder Carissa Walizer lays down a bunt for a single during the JV Lady Zebras’ win over Bartlesville Tuesday night.

The Claremore JV Lady Zebras erupted for seven first-inning runs, highlighted by Stephanie Schivally’s 2-run single to notched their first home victory of the season.

Schivally’s single provided the spark as Claremore rolled past Bartlesville 8-1 in district competition Tuesday night at the Claremore Lady Zebras Softball Complex.

Along with Schivally, Sydnie Hart and Ashlyn Cartwright also drove in a pair of runs in the inning.

The Lady Zebras tallied seven singles in the first inning.

Claremore starting pitcher Kaylee Bart went the distance in the circle, holding Bartlesville to one run on two hits with six strikeouts.

Offensively, the Lady Zebras were led by Tori Hoskins with three singles and Cartwright with two singles. Schivally, Amey Reavis, Kasey Combest and Carissa Walizer each had singles.
