Tulsa's Aubrey Lechlider was named the American Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week, as announced today by the league office.
Lechlider, a freshman forward from Verdigris High School in Claremore, scored a goal in both games for the Golden Hurricane last week.
Lechlider had three attempts on the weekend, all of which were on goal for her two goals.
After coming out of the locker room tied 1-1 with Oklahoma at halftime, Lechlider gave Tulsa an early go-ahead goal in the 48th minute, a lead TU maintained for the following 25 minutes.
Lechlider also added the third and final goal in Tulas's 3-1 win over Little Rock.
Lechlider has a team-best three goals, while Neha Igwe, Valiree Morris, Averee Dubach and Addyson Guthrie have each added two scores, and seven others have one goal each.
