TULSA — It was Rylee Bynum's night. The Inola all-stater led her East squad with seven kills in the Small School Volleyball game Tuesday night at the Mabee Center on the campus of Oral Roberts University. But the West won the war at the Oklahoma Coaches Association annual festival, 18-25, 25-19, 25-21. The West also won the Large School Volleyball game 25-14, 26-28, 25-15.

Bynum was joined on the team by Montanna Stout, her Inola teammate. The pair was coached by Melissa Powers.


Large East 6, Large West 5 — Kade Keith of Verdigris was the starting pitcher for the Large East squad, but didn't get the decision in the 6-5 win over the West in Tuesday night's All-State Baseball Game at J.L. Johnson Stadium on the campus of Oral Roberts University.

Keith pitched two innings and left with a 3-2 lead, but the West scored three runs in the sixth to tie it at 5 before Pryor's Drew Miller scored the winning run top of the seventh. Fort Gibson's Seth Martin finished off the West for a 6-5 win.

Claremore Sequoyah's Tristan Diaz also participated for the East in the game.

Small East 4, Small West 4 — The two squads played to a 4-4 tie in the small school game.

Girls Tennis

East 8, West 7 — Claremore graduate Natalie Evans went 2-0 in her final high school matches after winning her singles and doubles battles at the All-State Games at the Case Center at the University of Tulsa.

Evans, playing for the winning East squad, blasted Elizabeth Dillingham of Enid 8-3 in the singles competition, and then teamed up with Cascia Hall's Emma Powers to win the doubles match 8-5 over Dillingham and Lauren Harvey of Heritage Hall.

Boys Tennis

West 13, East 2 — It was all West in the boys competition, as Claremore's Ryan Westfall went 0-2 on the day.

Westfall fell to Zayne McLaughlin of Edmond North 8-3 in singles, and then lost the doubles competition 8-1 with partner George Enterline of Cascia Hall against the team of Caden Hopfer of Guthrie and Parker Bryant of Carl Albert.
