Claremore Christian volleyball seniors — from left to right — Kala Honey, McKenna Mitchell, Jayde Mullins and Brooklyn Woods celebrate a win earlier this season.

Claremore Christian volleyball celebrated its Senior Night on Tuesday, defeating Eagle Point in four sets — 25-15, 25-19, 16-25, 25-19 — at the Claremore Recreation Center.

Seniors Kayla Honey, McKenna Mitchell, Jayde Mullins and Brooklyn Woods were instrumental in helping the Lady Warriors improve to 10-1 before closing the regular season at Wright Christian Academy in Tulsa at 5 p.m. tonight.

“Brooklyn is an all-around player, and I can depend on her for massive hits, digs off the floor and hard serves,” CCS coach Shannon Woods said. “Jayde is our calm in the storm. She’s levelheaded, and she brings everyone together. Kala is intense in everything she does. She’s a go-getter and works really hard for me. McKenna is the ultimate leader, and she’ll bond the girls together whenever we’re falling apart. She’s one to pick everybody up and encourage them.”

The quartet discussed individual interests and memories with the Progress following the win.
