Weather forces change to softball's home opener

CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State Softball program and head coach Andrea Vaughan have announced a schedule change to this week's home opener at the Diamond Sports Complex.

Due to weather conditions today, as well as forecasted weather for the Northeast Oklahoma region on Wednesday, the Hillcats have pushed back the home opener against the University of Central Missouri to Thursday.

Rogers State will still host the Jennies for a doubleheader, but the scheduled start time has been pushed up to noon for game one and a scheduled start time of 2 p.m. for game two.

This weekend's Heartland Conference doubleheader is still scheduled for Saturday, but is subject to change due to more wet weather expected in Claremore on Friday and Saturday.
